Kirk Hooker equaled his career best points finish in the 43rd World Series of Asphalt Racing series at New Smyrna Speedway in Florida.
He brought the Hooker Brothers Racing/Country View Golf Course Monte Carlo to a fourth-place finish in the final standings with 238 points, 104 behind the champion Drew Brannon of Miami.

The first of three Sprint car events on the season takes place Saturday, May 23, with the Southern Ontario Sprints invading South Buxton on SM Freight.com Night. There will also be racing in all four of SBR’s regular classes

The 2009 season opens this Saturday, May 16, with racing in all four classes. Gates open at 4:30 p.m., with the first race scheduled to take the green flag at 7 p.m. Custom Trux of Ridgetown and DeGoey Flowers of Leamington are the night’s co-sponsors.
